Vitamin C Fast Growing Plants

This is the vitamin C test on fast growing plants.



Hypothesis:If we use more vitamin C on the plants than they will grow more.

Prediction: We predict that the 8000/200ml watered plants will grow the most.

Variable: the height of the plants.

Question: Will the fast growing plants grow more with Vitamin C than with less?

equipment:
we will be using;
9 fast growing plants.
8000mg Vitamin C
2 beakers
1 hotplate
stirrer
safety gloves
dropper
ruler
data paper.
pen
pestle/mortar
soil
plastic cells
fertilizer pellets
water

measurements of Vitamin C.
we use 8000mg in 200ml of water for high powered vitamin C
we used 8000mg in 400ml of water for mid level power of Vitamin C
and just plain water for low powered.

Procedure:
get a 9 plastic cell.
fill it up half way with soil
put 3 fertilizer pellets in each cell
fill all the cells with soil to the top
plant 2 seeds on each cell
water each seed
wait for them to grow a bit.
pull out 1 plant if more than 1 in each cell


Margin of error.
we forgot to water a few days.
our solution went "Missing" a few times and had make new ones making new amounts of Vitamin C...cant be the same every-time.
